KollegeTV: Launched the first Serial Feature (Looking
Glass 3.0) in the Fall of 2008. Two hundred
and thirty-seven colleges are now producing "Kollege
with a K" original programming for this Òground
breakingÓ entertainment company.
Serial Feature: A feature presentation (75 - 90 minutes)
initially released as a series of video webisodes
(usually 30) over a pre-determined length of time (usually six weeks).
Looking Glass 3.0, The Trip, and Holidaze
are generally considered to be the first serial features and were released
by KollegeTV in 2008 and 2009. Although today serial
features vary in content, style, and target audience, the three orignals featured jumps in time, bizarre points of view, and broad
portrayals of the lead characters.
This is also where the ridiculous ruminations of ÒNow/HereÓ author Professor
Robert L. Euren (Merle Kessler of DuckÕs Breath
Mystery Theater) first appeared on the world wide web.
Looking Glass 3.0: The
first serial explored the identities and outlined the relationship of the four
leading charters through performances by their subconscious thoughts. LG 3.0 was developed ÒtransparentlyÓ on
the web and the viral ÒbuzzÓ created by the development of the serialÕs 30 webisodes in the summer of 2008 is generally considered to be a key factor in the productÕs success,
Kollege Komedy Komplaint Khoir: The
final episode of Looking Glass 3.0 and
the first iTunes Music Video to have over three
trillion free downloads. The words were written by Merle Kessler (KollegeTV
Head Writer) and the music was created by Joshua Raoul
Brody (KollegeTV Music Director). The video is now part of the YouTube Complaints Choir Series (originated in 2007 by the
Complaints Choir of Birmingham) and features a performance at the Noe Valley Ministry in San Francisco, California on June
13, 2008.
